In SAS^® Risk and Finance Workbench, if you use a process definition that has sub-groups and sub-tasks, email notifications are not sent.

When this issue occurs, in the UI, a pop-up message states "Invalid/incomplete notification; notification not sent." An error that is similar to the following occurs in the mid-tier log:
